On Saturday, Carleton Place celebrated the Queen’s Jubilee in style at royal garden party complete with visiting monarchs from a number of eras.
The Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum and the Mississippi Mudds theatre group played fitting hosts at the Queen’s Jubilee Garden Party held at the museum on Saturday.
The gardens welcomed visiting monarchs from a variety of British eras, both historical and fictional.
The Mudds were celebrating their own milestone of 50 years of entertainment while setting a royal mood for the packed celebration.
Actors and actresses portrayed Queens from Elizabeth to Victoria along with a suitable entourage in honour of our current monarch’s 70 years on the throne.
Carleton Place Mayor Doug Black sent best wishes.
He also reminisced about first seeing the Queen in Trenton when he was only 5.
