The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) says we can expect another hike in gas prices as soon as today.
CAA reports they already went up across much of the country over the weekend ands sit at a national average of $2.12 per litre.
Locally, you could find the low-end of the scale sitting at to about $2.07 or $2.08 in Perth and Carleton Place, or even as low as $2.02 in Smiths Falls, as of early Monday morning.
You can expect spots throughout the region to be selling it for more than $2.08 and higher though.
The same pressures are causing the jump: there is still a tight global supply, that is being stressed by a strong post-pandemic demand for travel and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
