The Smiths Falls Police Service is saying a big thank you to the community for supporting the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics which returned to form this year after a pandemic-induced hiatus.
Over the course of the two-day fundraiser, they raised close to $17,000.00 during their tolls and run through the town.
All of that money goes directly to local Special Olympian Athletes, and those across the province to fund many activities and sporting events.
The Service would also like to thank all the amazing athletes and their fans, and police staff who took part in the run.
