The Upper Canada District School Board held their 2022 Celebration Night Awards on Monday, recognizing staff who go the extra mile.
Among those honoured with a Service Excellence Award was Tracey MacTavish, an Educational Assistant at Duncan J Schoular in Smiths Falls.
The award recognizes exceptional service to students, their families and co-workers.
Tracey was honoured for going out of her way to check in with colleagues, celebrating student success and showing selflessness by purchasing supplies for students in need.
She is in elite company too, as only eight people across the board received the Service Excellence Award.
