Megan Beson is the new Deputy Clerk for Lanark County.
Beson has spent almost 15 years in managerial roles throughout her career, which has seen stops in the high-tech and not-for-profit sector, as well as municipal work.
She comes from her latest position as Legislative Services Officer and Interim Legislative Services Manager for the County of Grand Prairie in Alberta.
Beson will assist Clerk Jasmin Ralph, CAO Kurt Greaves, Warden John Fenik and the rest of council in day-to-day operations.
