The Lanark Leeds and Grenville Ontario Health Team has brought together more than 50 health, community and social services organizations to improve health care for everyone in the three counties.
They’ve been working for over a year now, and Sheyi Badmos, Executive Lead with the team says they’ve been laying some important groundwork.
The Health Team model, which replaces Local Health Integration Networks, was introduced by the Ford government to streamline services. Each is different and reflects the region that it represents.
Badmos says they are not meant to replace our health units.
The Lead says the partners have been talking about overcoming common obstacles being faced by patients and clients.
