For the first time in a very long time, the health unit is reporting no hospitalizations due to COVID-19 in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.
You have to go back to the early days of the pandemic in 2020 to see numbers like those issued in today’s surveillance report.
And the number of deaths held steady at 108.
There are no patients in hospitals, in ICUs, or on ventilators. There were three in hospital and one of them was in the ICU on a ventilator in their last report on Monday.
The number of new cases in the past week has continued to inch downward too and now sits at 53.
There is more positive news too. There are no longer any outbreaks in the region either. That’s down from one on Monday.
