Mississippi Mills mayor Christa Lowry was nominated Wednesday night to represent Lanark County on the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Board of Directors Rural Caucus.
Lowry presently sits on the board which has 41 total representatives across Ontario including Perth CAO Michael Touw.
To be selected by her peers for another term means a lot to Lowry.
County warden John Fenik says he can’t think of a better representative than Lowry.
Lowry’s second term with AMO is dependent on being re-elected in October’s municipal election.
