Liz McDonald of Lanark County Paramedic Service has received the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal in recognition of her career accomplishments.
It recognizes professionals in the provision of pre-hospital emergency medical services to the public who have performed their duties in an exemplary manner.
McDonald was nominated by the Chief of LCPS in recognition of her meritorious work beyond the normal duties of paramedics.
Chief Travis Mellema says she has been an integral part of the Paramedic Service’s Peer Support Team, “Spending countless hours ensuring that the individuals who care for our communities are cared for as well.”
Mellema adds that her impact on the health and well-being of staff and communities is immeasurable.
