The July 1st Holiday means government offices and agencies are closed for the day at all levels.
That means beer and liquor stores are closed, though some agency stores, usually found in convenience stores are open.
Post offices, service Canada and Ontario Offices, and passport offices are closed too.
Most grocery stores and retail are closed for the day.
Some are operating on reduced hours where allowed, like in Smiths Falls and Perth.
In Smiths Falls you can go to Andress’ Independent, the Garden Market, or Walmart.
In Perth, Metro, Barnabe’s Independent, and FoodSmiths are your options.
All major pharmacies are also open today.
Most restaurants and pubs are open to welcome Canada Day revelers.
The health unit is also closed for the day.
