More than 160 golfers, volunteers and community members, golfed for the annual Upper Canada District School Board Champions for Kids Foundation on Wednesday.
After a COVID-19 hiatus, the annual fundraiser returned. This year it was at the Mississippi Golf Club.
Early numbers show the event raised approximately $45,000 for the Foundation.
The funds help level the playing field for UCDSB students and their families in many financial ways.
The Foundation also helps families with unexpected costs or when they’re in need of extra support for things like glasses, EpiPens, and winter clothing.
