Some local healthcare workers have been recognized for their work.
The Beverley McFarlane Award of Excellence was handed out to five workers at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital’s last general meeting.
President and CEO Michael Cohen commented that the award being named after the late McFarlane was fitting due to her commitment to excellence.
All winners were commended for their commitment to patients and the hospital itself.
This year’s winners are: Nurse Chantal Egan, Nurse Jennifer Galveias, Leigh Anne Giardano with Lanark County Support Services, Sarah Muldoon another nurse, and Chelsea Rustan is an administrative assistant.
Each staff member winner gets a day of with pay as thanks.
