The Board of Health for the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has announced who our next medical officer of health will be.
Dr. Linna Li has been selected to fill the vacancy created when Dr. Paula Stewart announced her retirement.
Stewart stays in the role until the end of August.
Dr. Li will take over at that point as the Acting Medical Officer of Health, until the posting is officially approved by the Minister of Health.
Dr. Li comes to the area with extensive experience from both Toronto Public Health and the Grey Bruce Health Unit. Grey Bruce has many similarities to the counties served by our health unit.
The Board says she is the perfect fit for our health unit.
