Race for Mayor on in Perth and Carleton, while Smiths Falls still has no one officially vying for the job

It’s now officially a race in Perth.

Current Mayor John Fenik has submitted his nomination papers and will be seeking re-election this fall.

So far, he is facing just current Councillor Judy Brown on the ticket.

It’s a similar situation in Carleton Place where incumbent Doug Black is looking for four more years in the Mayor’s Chair.

He faces Councillor Toby Randall and challenger Andreas Foustanellas.

In Smiths Falls, no one has officially declared that they are running for Mayor.

When we last spoke with current mayor Shawn Pankow, he said he’d be taking some time before deciding whether to run again.

The last day to file a nomination is Friday, August 19, 2022 by 2 p.m.
