Canadian legend salutes Brooke’s big win!

If you were feeling the tension watching Brooke Henderson win her second career major on Sunday, you were joined by a Canadian music Legend.

The one and only Anne Murray took to Facebook after the Smiths Falls golfer’s victory writing, “You had us going there for a minute Brooke, but what a finish! Congratulations on winning your second Major!”

Brooke, who has more pro golf wins than any other Canadian with 12, won the Evian Championship in France.

Anne wasn’t alone in feeling the stress of the moment. Her post sparked comments like, “I screamed when that putt went in!” and “A gutsy finish! Loved the clutch putt!”

The “Snowbird” singer is no stranger to the game. She hosted the Anne Murray Charity Golf Classic, a fundraiser bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars for colon cancer awareness and research, for many years.

She is also an avid player.
