On Saturday, Carleton Place’s popular Riverside Park was ablaze in colour as a well attended Pride Festival took place.
According to organizer, Byron Wilson, the day was about more than just a great outdoor party. He was thankful for support from many vendors, the town, volunteers and the fire department who also dropped by. When asked how inclusive he thought his community was he replied:
The large number of families in attendance was evidence supporting Wilson’s view.
