There is now one name on the ticket for Mayor in Smiths Falls. The latest information from Town Hall, has current Mayor Shawn Pankow on the list. Another potential candidate, Justin Duhamel has declared his intentions to run on social media.
It’s a two-horse race so far In Perth too. Both current Mayor John Fenik and Councillor Judy Brown have filed their nomination papers and will be on the ticket come election day.
A similar situation is shaping up in Carleton Place too, where incumbent Doug Black is seeking re-election, and Councillor Tony Randell is taking a run at the Mayor’s chair. Andreas Foustanellas has also put his name forward.
Election Day is October 24th. Candidates for Mayor, Councillor and School Board Trustee have until 2PM on August 19th to file papers with the town.
