The health unit’s Language Express program ensures pre-school children aren’t lagging behind when it comes to speech and communication development, especially after lockdown after lockdown during the pandemic.
The program’s manager, Catherine Robinson says the focus can’t just be on student-age kids who may have to catch up.
Robinson also says that its important for development to get young kids playing together and interacting, especially since the pandemic largely robbed them of that experience for much of their young lives.
