Some driver are just not getting it: close to 7,000 traffic-related charges laid over the long-weekend

The OPP says there were five road fatalities over the Civic Holiday weekend on roads they patrol.

The deaths came as officers taking part in a road safety campaign laid more than 69-hundred traffic-related charges through the long weekend.

That includes more than 42-hundred speeding charges, nearly 100 stunt driving charges and more than 170 impaired driving offences under the Criminal Code.
