Brooke Henderson had her best showing at the AIG women’s British Open ever.
The two-time major winner finished tied for 7th spot at five under par. That was just five strokes off the pace set by Ashleigh Buhai who won in playoff, after she and In Gee Chun tied at 10 under par.
The Smiths Falls native shot a 1 under 70 for the third time in four rounds yesterday to get into the top ten for the first time ever at the tournament and the $160,00 (US) paycheque that comes along with it.
Her round featured three birdies and two bogeys.
The finish moves Brooke to no. 2 in the Race To CME Globe standings. She has 8 top ten finishes on the season and two victories.
She is also now sitting at no. 5 on the Rolex world rankings.
