A staff report is making its way to Lanark County chambers regarding bus safety throughout the region.
It was a piece of new business added by councilor Steve Fournier, who said it was an issue brought forth to him by the public.
Typically to adopt a by-law like this would require each municipality to adopt its own, but Fournier hopes the county could adopt a singular enforceable one.
Councilor Klaas Van Der Meer thinks talking to the province for larger fines is an avenue they should take.
Among other things, the report is expected to look at having mounted cameras on school buses, to ensure at-fault vehicles are caught on film with their license plate in view.
