At this week’s Perth council committee of the whole meeting, director of development services Joanna Bowes tabled a proposal to change bylaws.
The changes would require developers to dedicate a portion of new residential lands to public park use.
Bowes stated the purpose of the amendments was to strongly indicate the town’s priority in collecting usable and connected park space in new projects.
The committee passed the motion to forward the bylaw to the next council meeting for approval.
