We are four days away from the deadline to submit your nomination papers if you want to run for mayor, council, or for a seat on the local school boards.
We’ll be highlighting the list of nominees currently listed throughout the week leading up to Friday.
We start in the town of Perth, where it’s a two-way race for mayor at the moment. Judy Brown is going for the head chair as is incumbent John Fenik, seeking another term.
Ed McPherson is the lone candidate for the Deputy Mayor position. Meanwhile David Bird, Jim Boldt, Leona Cameron, Marlene Donoghue, Barry Smith, Roy Van Der Mull, Sheldon Giff and Gary Waterfield have all thrown their respective hats in the ring for council positions.
We’ll continue to take a look at other municipal election races as the week moves along.

William (Bill) Macpherson – English Public School Board Trustee – Upper Canada District School Board
Jennifer Cooney – English Separate School Board Trustee – Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario
Diane Burns – French Separate School Board Trustee – Conseil des école catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE)
Colette Stitt – French Public School Board Trustee – Conseil des école publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario
