Mississippi Mills councilor Cynthia Guerard has had her pay suspended for 90 days following the conclusion of an integrity commissioner investigation.
Council upheld the recommendation to do so by integrity commissioner Tony Fleming during the August 12th meeting.
The report cites a complaint filed in May, which alleged Guerard attended two in-person council meetings while not in compliance with the townships mandatory vaccination policy.
The policy requires all council members to provide proof of their fully vaccinated status, which Guerard did not do. The policy indicates failing to do so makes an individual considered as unvaccinated.
