About a year ago, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County received a $11,800 Community Building Fund from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to be used to get kids moving.
It meant new sports and physical activity equipment and supports for the group.
BBBS says they been able to get the kids they help moving and trying new physical activities like yoga and meditation, baseball, and training sessions among other things.
Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Sandra Burelli says the grant allowed them to get kids motivated, equipped and learning new ways to feel good while leaving their screens behind and connecting with their community.
