Now we’re telling you about a big donation that helped make it happen, and will help get more families fleeing the Russian invasion to our region.
The Smiths Falls Welcomes Ukraine Committee is thanking Dan and Wanita Andress of Andress’ Your Independent in Smiths Falls for a $5,000 donation to the cause.
In making the donation, Dan said, “Wanita and I wanted to help make the transition a little easier for those Ukrainians who come to our town for a new beginning. They still have a long road ahead.”
Mark Czubac, from the committee said the donation is a testament to their community spirit.
