With the municipal election just six weeks away, the Town of Smiths Falls is issuing some reminders on how the voting process will go.
Director of Corporate Services/Clerk Kerry Costello said residents are encouraged to contact town hall to ensure they’re on the voters list.
You should receive a voting information letter by late September. It contains the pin code you need to enter to vote this year, as it’s an online and telephone system.
Costello says they’ll have staff available to help those who may need some assistance, or access to the internet.
Costello says staff will once again be dropping by long-term care homes to ensure older residents have the chance to cast their votes.
Town hall will also be opened on Saturday October 22nd from 9 am until noon to help anyone register and cast a ballot.
The voting window is October 14 to the 24th at 8 p.m, and you can check out the town’s website for election process updates.
