Carleton Place honours the memory of former Councillor, Warden of Lanark County, Orm Giles

Staff and Council from the Town of Carleton Place are remembering Orm Giles who recently passed away.

The town said in a statement that Orm dutifully served as a member of Carleton Place Council for over 30 years. He represented the Town on Lanark County Council and served a term as warden in 1995.

He was also known to generously donated his time to volunteer with many local organizations.

Mayor Doug Black stated, “Orm was sincere in his efforts, involved in the community, and considerate of all.” He added, “He has left a lasting mark on his community and will be missed.”
