Carleton Place Mayor Doug Black opened last night’s Meeting of Council with a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who he called an exemplary representative of the meaning of public service.
Black says during her 70 years on the throne she made several sacrifices to keep that promise, adding she was unique.
Flags in Carleton Place continue to be flown at half-staff to honour the Queen’s memory.
