The proposed Master Plan in Carleton Place was put under the microscope this week by town councillors.
The plan plots out a 20 year road-map for future discussions on building new infrastructure for both vehicle and human-powered transportation growth.
One suggestion to build a pedestrian bridge over the Mississippi River at Riverside Park drew the most opposition.
As Councillor Wes Parsons put it:
The committee voted to remove all references to the bridge before receiving the plan and will continue discussions on the rest.
