Mourning and celebrations of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s life continues.
Perth Councillor David Bird is in Ireland for a few more days, and was there when King Charles stopped to visit the Monarch’s official residence in Ireland, Hillsborough Castle in Belfast, as part of his four nation tour of the UK since officially becoming King.
Bird, a native of England, is very well-versed in all things Royal and has been providing a unique perspective for Lake 88 since the Queen’s death last week.
We wanted to know if how Charles III is being portrayed by the international media is accurate. In response, Bird commented on how the King has been interacting with the public sine the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II and his ascension to the throne.
The Councillor’s sister-in-law actually spoke with King Charles as he greeted the crowd outside the castle.
Councillor Bird has also shared the following photos of the days’ events taken by members of his family.
