The Town of Perth continues to do its best to reduce its carbon footprint.
They report that as part of their strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions many Town buildings and streetlights have been upgraded with LED bulbs.
Here’s the data: LEDs use about 50% less power than the old style regular light bulbs and about 80% less power than older incandescent lighting.
They say you can make the switch at home too if you haven’t already.
Doing so can help save money on your hydro bill in addition to cutting energy use and lowering your personal carbon footprint.
