We shall see if the downward trend of high risk cases of COVID-19 continues in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville when we get the first surveillance report of the week from the health unit on Monday.
There were nine people in hospital on Friday, which was a higher number than we had seen in recent weeks. The number of fatalities held at 115.
Despite the spike in hospitalizations, the Health Unit said the trend line for new lab-confirmed high risk cases has stabilized across the region. That number was at 114 going into the weekend.
As for outbreaks there were six which was up over the course of the week. They were all in congregate care facilities and accounted for 90 cases as of Friday.
