The number of children under the age of five getting vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ontario is lower than the relatively small numbers some experts had expected.
Shots for the youngest age group have been available for two months, but only about six per cent of those kids have had their first dose.
Local numbers aren’t available from the health unit until early next week. But they tell us for youth age 12-17, 88.1% have second doses and 25.7% have third doses.
We will find out if the youngest residents of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville buck the provincial trend when that report is released.
