All Ontario adults can now book an appointment for an Omicron-targeted COVID-19 vaccine as of Monday.
Our health unit’s vaccine specialist, Vaccine Manager Jenny Vandermeer says keeping up to date is the best defense.
She says they have vaccine on hand, but you could have to wait a couple of weeks for your shot.
She says there is another option.
The province made the bivalent vaccine available to the most vulnerable populations earlier this month.
You can also give them a call at 1-800-660-5853 of contact a local pharmacy or your family health care provider.
The province is also opening appointments for Pfizer’s new pediatric vaccine for children between six months and five years old.
