Once per week: The Health Unit moves to new reporting method for COVID-19 surveillance data today

Today’s the day (Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022) the health unit begins once-per-week COVID-19 surveillance reports.

That’s the way we get local data on the pandemic that we pass on to our listeners.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li says its good news, because it means changes in the situation are slowing.

We expect the new data to be released by noon today.

We will still be reporting the numbers on Lake 88 as well as vaccination clinic locations, that are now administering the latest edition of the vaccine that protects against the Omicron Variant.
