A man in Smiths Falls is now facing charges after a pedestrian was hit by a car back on Monday September 12th in a case that could have been much worse that it was.
Police located and arrested the 51-year-old Perth man at about 6am on the 12th for driving-related offences stemming from the collision on September 10th.
Police allege he was driving in a dangerous manner on Bourke Street when he hit a female pedestrian known to him. He then fled the scene.
Thankfully the victim is reported to have suffered only minor injuries.
It was enough for police to hold him for a bail hearing though.
He’ll be in court to answer in the near future to dangerous operation causing bodily harm and Failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm charges.
