Carleton Place Council talked about electronic monitoring of town employees during their committee of the whole on Tuesday.
Town CAO Diane Smithson explained that earlier this year, the province changed its employment standards this year requiring electronic monitoring policies.
The CAO gave examples like use of town computers, remote time-card activation, and appearing at a recorded council meeting.
That was good enough for the committee – they approved the policy with no discussion.
