Drummond/North Elmsley is learning from its neighbours.
Recently acclaimed Reeve Steve Fournier told us on Lake 88’s In Focus, that the township is looking at Environmental Assessments from their bordering municipalities to determine their own green plan.
Fournier says his ratepayers have already chipped in for one plan.
In a wide-ranging chat, Fournier also told us that his township has a great relationship with Perth and Smiths Falls and that has led to continued user agreements when it come to use of services like their arenas for DNE kids. There’s no need to build such facilities in his township when the neighbouring services are so good.
