After two days of talks late last week turned up nothing, the union representing 55-thousand Ontario education workers requested what’s known as a “no board” report.
That could put CUPE, the union representing workers like custodians, librarians and early childhood educators, in a legal strike position in less than three weeks.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce meanwhile, has called the union’s demands unreasonable.
Wages and rates of increase are the biggest sticking points.
