Perth town council took another stab at resolving some land regulation problems being experienced by a local business, Donaldson Storage at their Tuesday meeting.
It turns out they may find a solution from a surprising connection.
At last week’s committee of the whole meeting, council instructed staff to prepare an official plan amendment to remove the need for Donaldson’s Storage to pay for connecting to municipal water and sewer services.
Mayor John Fenik reported he had been called by Beckwith Reeve Richard Kidd who stated his township was able to resolve a similar situation without such an amendment.
Kidd reached out after hearing Deputy Mayor Ed McPherson’s comments on a recent report here on Lake 88.
Council voted to defer any further decisions until Beckwith’s planning staff could be contacted for their opinion.
