OPP detachments took part in Operation Impact over the Thanksgiving Long Weekend, looking to prevent the “Fatal 4” main causes of traffic-related deaths on our roads.
This year, the Grenville County Detachment of the OPP issued a total of 132 charges and conducted 24 RIDE programs.
Keeping everyone safe on the road and water is a priority in Grenville County. The message is simple: never text and drive, always buckle up, drive within the speed limit and do not drive any vehicle – car, bicycle, boat or all-terrain vehicle (ATV) – when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
The Grenville County OPP does want to say thank you to the public for their patience during the blitz and recognizes the vast majority were driving safely over the weekend.
