Today we look at no.4: Create the role of a Survivor Advocate to advocate on behalf of survivors regarding their experience in the justice system.
Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee says the importance of advocacy is not lost on her organization, and a similar role exists here in Lanark County.
She says the advocate in place in Lanark County is a very valuable resources.
The role helps victims navigate the system, everything from police involvement, and who they can reach out to for additional support, guidance and support.
