Have your say! Voting underway in several local communities for councils and school trustees

Municipal Election Day is just a week away, but voting is either underway or beginning today in several parts of our listening area.

Smiths Falls kicked it off opening their phone and online polling stations on Friday.

Starting today, residents in Perth, Carleton Place, Lanark Highlands, Mississippi Mills, Rideau Lakes, Merrickville-Wolford, and Tay Valley can vote by phone or online.

There’s an advance poll in Westport today, then more votes are cast on Election Day, October 24th. Beckwith has an advance poll Wednesday, then collects ballots on Election Day.

Residents in Montague head to the polls on the 24th.
