The OPP says a 14 year-old has died in a collision involving a dirt bike.
It happened Friday afternoon just after 1 pm. OPP, Montague Fire and Lanark County Paramedics were all called to Matheson Drive in the township, just east of Smiths Falls.
The OPP says the crash involved a dirt bike and passenger vehicle. The 14 year-old was on the bike.
That stretch of road was closed for about seven hours as the OPP Traffic Reconstruction Unit, Technical Collision Investigations Unit, and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit tried to piece together what happened.
The investigation continues.
Police are not releasing the victim’s identity due to their age.
