The chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board is considering whether to deem a walkout by thousands of education workers illegal.
Brian O’Byrne’s deliberations come after three days of lengthy proceedings.
That walkout continues today. Workers are back outside MPP John Jordan’s office on Cornellia St. in Smiths Falls, and outside MPP Steve Clark’s office in Brockville today.
They were at both locations Friday. That’ where we found EA Angela Parks Gibson.
The 55,000 workers are protesting legislation passed by the Ford Tories that makes strikes like these illegal, and imposes a new four year contract on the workers.
MBC news spoke with Educational Assistant Ken O’Donnell who says he understands that the protests are hard on parents who are left looking for childcare.
