The Angel Tree program is celebrating its 37th year in Lanark County and the surrounding area.
This year, the program put on by Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville/ and the OPP is starting off with 650 angels.
The “angels”, assigned to trees, are children directly affiliated with Family and Children’s Services and affiliated programs. The goal is to provide a Christmas gift for each child.
Organizers says they’re confident residents of the county will pull through and meet the goal – we’ve done it every other year.
You can now find the trees with “Angel Cards” in the following spots around the region:
