More winter parking options coming for Carleton Place

At the final meeting of the current Carleton Place council, staff brought forward a proposal to add two additional winter overnight parking lots this year.

The spaces are for residents’ overflow parking during winter months when there are no on-street alternatives for guests. In addition to the existing spaces at Riverside Park, Carleton Junction, Cavanagh Road, McNeely Ave and Centennial Park, staff proposed adding spaces in the Library parking lot and the southerly end of Power Street.

The committee approved the plan unanimously.
