UCDSB and CDSBEO schools to close if CUPE workers strike

The potential CUPE strike means that schools will be closed in our listening area unless a deal is reached with the province first.

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario says if the workers walk, their schools will be closed.
It’s assumed that students would go back to learning from home, but the latest statement from the board doesn’t confirm that.

Upper Canada District School Board Students will learning remotely and schools across the board will close too if the workers do strike.

Both cite safety concerns the lack of workers would cause as the reason behind the closures.
