Leeds and Grenville Counties Councillors have unanimously appointed Nancy Peckford, Mayor of the Municipality of North Grenville, as the Warden for the 2023-2024 term.
In her first address as Warden, Peckford told council, that Counties Council has some major challenges ahead and we must confront them head on. The Warden mentioned housing, inflation, health care, and long-term care specifically.
Peckford committed to council to bring her absolute best to the table.
Outgoing Warden Roger Haley passed the Chain of Office to Peckford in a ceremony attended by all heads of council from throughout Leeds and Grenville.
